Hate to break it to you but...Thank you for this information. I will never want to purchase a vehicle that even partially supports a tyrannical regime.

Ford built GI Jeeps or GPWs, MJs are Comanches, one of the most overlooked but awesome Jeep models.Actually, Ford built more MJ Jeeps than Willys. Manufacturing capacity...
My first boss had one of those. He sent me to lunch all the time. Inline 6 I think. Drifted well!Ford built GI Jeeps or GPWs, MJs are Comanches, one of the most overlooked but awesome Jeep models.
They would have to find a time machine and zip on back to 1997 to do that.Jeep needs to remain an American owned brand. At least the wrangler series. ?
Ram was not spun off, it was made into its own division. UUUGE difference!Time to spin off the Jeep brand just like FCA did with Ram...or better yet - let Jeep go as a complete stand-alone and develop their own vehicles without Pierre, Pietro, or Ping Lu's influence...
Jeep hasn’t been American owned for years. Before fiat bought Chrysler including jeep and dodge and ram they were owned at least partly by Mercedes Benz. It was dcx or Daimler Chrysler corporationJeep needs to remain an American owned brand. At least the wrangler series. ?

I think back in the late 80's early 90's the wrangler used a Peugeot transmission.
Peugeot is part owned by the French government
And 12.2% of Peugeot (PSA) is owned by Dongfeng a Chinese auto maker.
Dongfeng is part owned by the the Chinese government.
FCA and PSA own 14 brands of cars.
This is getting complex, a French Italian Chinese auto maker.
