Did you own a Jeep before Bronco?

I owned a 79 CJ5 in high school. It was fun. I love my Bronco. Just put a 7" suspension lift on it and some 42" Nitto trail grapplers.

Currently own both.

Both are fun but, the Wrangler is harder to drive on the road. Other than that it's ok.

Nope but it was between the Bronco and a Wrangler. I wanted the topless off roader experience. Preferred the interior of the Bronco amongst some other personal preferences.

I owned a 1989 Jeep Cherokee
A 1993 Ford Bronco Eddie Bauer
A 2007 JK
A 2001 TJ
A 2014 Cherokee
Another JK
A 2021 Bronco

In between all that, there are various Ford F150s, Ram 1500s, Ram 2500s, etc.

So, yeah, I've owned a lot of different vehicles.

We had a 2004 Wrangler TJ. Did not drive it much, so we sold it. Bronco is MUCH nicer, but we miss the Jeep!

No, I have never owned an SUV, Truck, CUV or anything taller than an E-Class Mercedes.

I kinda liked the idea of Jeeps, but on the three occasions I drove one, a YJ in 1987 and two more modern ones in the last 10 years, I hated them.

Had an ‘08 JKUR for 14 years. Lifted it. Was running 34’s at the end. Used it for all sorts of family adventures as my sons grew up. Longest owned vehicle I have ever had.

Wife had a new Jeep compass that rusted out in less 5 years. (Almost didn't make it to the dealership to trade in.) I didn’t expect to get another Jeep again after that, but bought this 09 JK with high 50k mi after the bronco as a family 3rd vehicle for new/ upcoming drivers in the family to learn how to drive w/ manual transmission.

1977 Jeep CJ5 High school through college. Rust got the best of her.
304 V8 three speed manual with added leaf's (old school lift) and 35 General tires. Hooker headers with Thrush side pipes. Plenty of fun hill climbing.

I rent the occasional Jeep or Gladiator while on work assignments.

Love my Bronco more! Miss the CJ5

Not sure it counts, but I had a 'REAL' Jeep nearly 30 years ago. It was literally the last of the CJs - just before Chrysler took over. Back when there was ONLY 2 doors.

And NO amenities - No AC, Manual Trans, Manual seat adjustments. You even had to get out to lock the hubs and engage the 4WD. lol

The 1st vehicle I ever purchased was a CJ5 that I bought used in 1983. Counting it, I've had 2 CJ5's, a CJ7, a YJ, a TJ and 2 JK's. All but one were 2dr's. One of the JK's was a JKUR (4DR).

I was always a fan of the 1st Gen Broncos so when the time came to buy a new vehicle, I knew I wanted the 6th Gen Bronco so I bought a Badlands 2dr..
