Just bumping the conversation to the top.

@Dusty I’ve been following your YouTube channel off and on since you built your own recovery tabs to adapt to your tow bar. Appreciate your mechanical logic. (seems to be uncommon these days lol). I think I threw my sway bar in the trash about the same time you did also lol.

UPDATE. As it turns out there is no readily available flange to use with the standard transfer case. So J.E. Reel is looking into getting the correct broach to make them. It may take a while for all of that to work itself out so to hold me over, they built me a single U-joint (at both ends) driveshaft to use temporarily. He said he had built a couple like that for others and there hadn't been any issues with vibrations. I think he mentioned Loren Healy and/or Bailey Cole. So I got the shaft into the Bronco this weekend and so far so good. I think it will do OK until they can get a flange made and we can do the double-cardan on it.

I want to thank Jim and Scott at J.E. Reel for their support and persistence on this, rather than just shrug and say "it is what it is." Hopefully this will result in a solution for anyone who runs into this same problem in the future. Which becomes more likely each day, as these Broncos get modified more and more, and the stock driveshafts get more and more miles on them.

Has he tried 6g Ranger (24+)? Not sure if base/lower trim Ranger uses that xfer case, but Ranger Raptor uses 4A xfer case AND has a 4bolt flat flange and conventional U joint mounted to it. Doubt all 24+ Ranger are 4A, but I would bet all super crew Rangers use the same style driveshaft. Just an idea to try!

Does anyone know what T-case the regular Ranger has? Do they also have both the standard ESOF and advanced 4A cases? If they're all 4A that doesn't help, as that's the same one for the Bronco that already has a flange available. If the base level Ranger also uses the ESOF t-case like the Base Bronco, somehow I doubt there's been much demand for a flange for it yet from the Ranger folks--in other words I doubt the Ranger crowd is as far along as we are in modifying these things for harder trail use. I'll mention it to him but I doubt it will go anywhere. I would bet he's either already considered it, or there's no readily available solution for it either.

I don't think I was very clear. The stock flange would be the solution, if it's the right spline, cause it already uses a u joint in that spot. If I get some time tomorrow I will try to research. What's the spline count I'm looking for, and rough ID?

They have both just like the Bronco.
Here is the flange part number for the part time transfer case from the ranger.
MB3Z-7061-F
There is no picture, so I’m not exactly sure what it looks like, but according to the catalog the bronco part time TC and the Ranger part time TC share the same output shaft, so the Ranger flange should fit.

Thanks for that p/n. I’ll see if I can get my hands on one of those!

Here is the parts catalog view for 2.3L Ranger w/part time 4x4.. Looks like what you are looking for would be part # MB3Z-7B214-B. Unfortunately repairlink shows zero availability...not unusual when a part is this new tho

My book shows that as the front output flange and 7B214 is rear...your book may be better than mine tho...repairlink is not usually very accurate

@Bmadda It may not have the correct flange for the part time transfer case,
Here is what the catalog shows:

The 7B214A is what it shows as correct for the part time transfer case ranger I looked up,
The 7B214B is the correct one for the raptor ranger, so they must have different flanges/driveshafts between the 2 transfer cases.

Mine says -B is for 10R60 and -A is for 10R80. Does Raptor use 10R80? I'm new to the 10speed crowd!
