The beam pattern doesn't look like a fog light - fogs usually just light a little on the ground right in front
Thats what garbage factory fog lights do. These still have a low cutoff to stay below fog and out of other drivers eyes.

Sweet, I'm anxious to hear you thoughts after some nighttime use. SAE fogs are on my to do list.
Me as well, I have to also worry about near white out conditions...

I ordered the baja designs squadron from
@Nick@Apollo-Optics and he was great to deal with. I think the will sit back further and fit the look i want.
I just don’t need the light those put out. I’m sure dessert running is different than the woods in the Midwest!

Added some Diode Dynaics SAE fog lights. Wired them to Aux Switch 2. Process was simple, worked great! I have found fog lights are the most needed auxiliary lighting in my use. I will probably add some spots and reverse lights, but these were the most important add on for me (so far). It took some 16ga wire, wire loom, zip ties and a few hand tools. Spent about an hour , but was being slow and careful. Light quality seems excellent, build quality was good, I will report back as I get some experience with them.

Looks good! I'm planning to do the same. I'm just hoping @Diode Dynamics makes a dedicated mount for them so they sit a little more flush.

My biggest lighting needs have always been heavy snow, rain or fog. The factory fog lights were better than nothing, but I am hoping the yellow tint and very well defined cut off work even better. They look a little more extended in the pic than in person. They are tight to the inside and nearly flush with the bumper, maybe 5 mm on the outside edge, flush on the inner. If I don’t like it, easy to change. $120 and an hour of my time for what I needed seemed like a good place to start 😀

There's another thread (as usual). They are making a pocket kit, maybe you can retrofit and just get the pockets!

It wouldn’t be a problem to fab a mount to set them back in the pocket. We tried them in a few locations and where they ended up was satisfactory to me.

The value of yellow on fog lights providing a contrast is only underestimated by people who have not experienced it...

Will you have the mount available separately? I am not sure I need 6 lights in the bumper (also not sure I don't like them the way they are, but....). Will the mounts be left blank and then you cut them to fit the lights you want or will it be a complete unit?

I’m definitely waiting for Rigid Industries to come up with a mount to fit in there. I prefer to have them recessed, but I do plan on installing lights down there eventually.

Well done!
I like the ones 4wp had on there display with the line of LED's for fogs and they seem to fit that spot nicely but did not see them listed on their page. I really want some fogs and I am looking for a 1" to 2" lift non leveling.

Nice to see people starting to do this.
Adding fogs to my BL will probably be my first mod, and DD is on my list. There are a couple of sites that offer configurable kits with mounts that set them farther back in the pocket - and it looks like DD will be offering something as well.

I would like to get the DD or the BD fog light kit for just the 1 4 square light on each side. I totally get filling the whole...hole area, I just don't need that many and the square 4 led would be perfect. Maybe a single square pod mount kit (no plastic backer/trim like on the 3 pod)?

Thus the reason I’m waiting for Rigid Industries. They will have some nice lights out soon enough. I know their lights aren’t cheap, but they are awesome and pretty much the only lights I use on my vehicles (so far).
Any issues with water / fogging inside of your ridgid lights? Talking with a guy at the grocery store with a built F250, he hated the quality of the Rigid lights. 3 of the 6 had water in them.. and he already replaced two of them in less than a year.
