Is there any way to turn this off? I'm in a Badlands Lux package and this is insanely annoying when you are driving on long stretches of straight road. I was driving from LA to NC and it was going off constantly even though I was centered in the lane.

ACC is not an autonomous driving system. Stop taking your hands off the wheel and it will stop yelling at you to keep your hands on the wheel.

Drill down into the menu settings and you should be able to turn off notifications and dampen the sensitivity of the reminders. At least that is how it is on my F150.

was that supposed to be helpful?
The only way to turn it off is to turn off the ACC. I think they were staying the obvious. I have the same system in my f150 and my ST and as long as you make occasional normal corrections I never see it unless my hands aren’t on wheel

ACC and Lane Keep are independent systems.

Lane centering only works with the cruise on. Lane keeping works two distinct ways. With acc on and without. Hence why you don’t set the warning without the acc on.

Are you driving with no hands on the wheel or holding the wheel lightly?

I have a similar system on my VW and while it mostly works, there are occasions where if you weren't holding the wheel it stops auto correcting for whatever reason. If you weren't holding the wheel you would ultimately drive off the road. Def not recommended.

Bronco doesn't have Lane Centering, only Lane Keep, like my 19 Explorer. It will bounce you around the lane keeping you within the lines and warn you if it does too many corrections.
On the Explorer, I can use ACC with Lane Keep off, or use Lane Keep with ACC off.

So does the bronco have any sensors on the steering wheel to detect your hands?

Thanks, I'll see if adjusting the sensitivity helps.

To those accusing me of taking my hands off the wheel: They were on the wheel the entire time, thanks though. The issue is if it shifts you out of the lane and you don't put any input into the wheel in response, it doesn't think you are holding the wheel. This goes off VERY frequently on long straight roads even if you don't drive out of the lane.

The lane assist is not as responsive as other cars I've had, so there is no way I would depend on it keeping me in the lane.

No, from what I can tell, it detects it if you drift too close to the lane and don't put any steering input in response. On curvy roads, it is less of an issue, but on long straight sections, I found it going off several times even though I wasn't driving (and yes, for the trolls, my hands were on the steering wheel)

Hey boss any Ford with co-pilot 360 has lane centering with the ACC system.
