1. Open hood
2. disconnect line running to the negative battery post - not the actual negative line, but the
secondary one that has a quick disconnect wrapped in tape.
3. Enjoy (the auto stop/start light will come on just like when you push the button on the
console to turn it off).

Interesting. Wonder if this would affect anything else?

I spent $99 on a harness to disable it and had the stereo shop install it when they installed my upgrade. Free is always better. Iā€™m interested in forscan but not sure Iā€™m qualified to use it correctly

Move to Phoenix - having the A/C on with outside temps around 90 or better disables it. So it's effectively disabled from May - Oct!

I feel the same about Forscan. I was able to disable the horn honk on my F150, but have not been able to turn on the auto fold mirrors and other things that I should be able to do. I just don't want to screw things up in my Ford's that turns them into paperweights with no warranties.

Thanks! Nice hack... plan to forscan once the motor upgrades are done.

Not a fan of the auto start/stop on any vehicle. I go for the easy fix. Right after I push the button to start my vehicle, I push that disable button. Works like a dream.

I hate the double honk and want to unlock the Baja goat mode. There is someone pretty local to me that can do this in a bronco group, just havenā€™t had time to meet up and get it done.

In before the ā€œhow hard is it to just push the buttonā€. Itā€™s not about the difficulty/ease of pushing a button. Itā€™s about those times youā€™re at a light or stop sign and the damn auto shut off engages right as youā€™re about to go. Now you gotta wait a second or two before you start to accelerate and look like the asshole not moving.
