Sorry if this was already answered - on the beauty rings - how many coats did this require with that specific paint? Did you put down a light coat followed by a second coat, or was this all in one coat? If multiple coats - how long did you wait in between coats?

prob did like 5 or 6. Super light touch. prob 30 min between each coat.

Less is more w rattle can -err on side of more coats less coverage as you do it to avoid common spray paint issues.

That was my thought, match the grille. Did the same to my bronco emblem out back.

Bought the safari bar from the Ruxer parts forum discount deal. $325 and just reused the 6 bolts that come in the bumper. Maybe 10 min install? I wasn’t sure about it which is why I didn’t order from the factory (plus a constraint after they redesigned). But now it might be my favorite part. I figured if I didn’t like it I could return it or sell it to someone else but now it’s staying.

In place. That’s the good part about plastidip. Plus it’s removable.

You got it. Peels off clean at the body line. If I tape better there wouldn’t have been overspray but it just rubbed off.

I just pulled all 5 of my rings to drop off for powdercoating, and noticed that all 12 T45 bolts per wheel have some level of thread lock on them. I’m assuming it’s comparable to thread lock blue, since they are removable. I plan on reinstalling them with more thread lock . have others done this as well?

Plasti dip turned out surprisingly smooth. I applied three coats and did all 5 wheels with 1 can (15 dollars at Autozone). And it's removable if you don't like it, want to change colors or redo it.

The card board worked perfectly, however I thought it would peel right off the rubber. Instead I spent a good 30 minutes to an hour scrubbing all the tires.

The Trick is deck of playing cards stuck in the bead of each tire all the way around. Old trick, have seen it on shows. Takes a deck each wheel.

My favorite look is when the beauty rings are same color as the vehicle. I've seen a lot of Jeeps done that way and they look great.

has anyone replaced the lug nuts with black and gotten an overlay for the center cap? curious what an all black wheel would look like.
