i've got a 2" front 1" rear body lift planned for when my non sas OBX comes in at the end of the month... is a body lift that "small" going to look that much worse than a stock sasquatch?

Not really. You can get by with a lift that small without it looking weird. The bigger issue with body vs suspension lifts tends to be with the components more than the visuals. Body lifts tend to put more strain on other suspension parts through the geometry changes. All you’re doing is lifting the body away from the other parts instead of lifting the entire suspension. A good suspension lift will provide all of the components needed to adapt to the increased heights (control arms, springs, shocks, etc).

Uhhh I'm not entirely sure you understand what a body lift is.

Yeah I definitely did a terrible job of explaining this. It just lifts the body away and might stretch electrical components, not suspension components. U-joints are an example I should have used. Not with a small lift like what the OP is saying. Thanks for keeping me honest!

I should have just confirmed my answer before blurting it out loud

Lifting the body will create a gap between your body and the bumpers. Currently I'd say BroncBuster is the resident go to on body lifts for the Bronco as he has multiple Broncos with various body and suspension lifts. He also mentioned Bodyguard bumpers can make adjustment brackets to fix the bumpers to match the body lift.

After market bumper had lot of room so was able to drill a new slotted hole and was able to adjust it still have about an inch play if I wanted to go higher. The front I left alone as it just clears the winch with the relay on. I’ll get a picture. I made the lift block’s myself.
