There's a steady uptick in keyless entry car theft in my area and in discussing with people on Reddit, I discovered Ford actually came up with some cool prevention measures: https://media.ford.com/content/ford...-add-protection-for-owners-in-fight-agai.html

Near as I can tell it's been around in Europe for a few years but none of the details I've found reference it being available in the US. I'm also wondering how long the range for the FOB is if anyone knows

My Bronco enters a "deep sleep mode" from time to time. It won't update on FordPass when it's in this mode. Using the key to start it wakes it back up.

Just buy a Faraday box for your fobs and this solves the problem of range extenders or clone scans.

I'm aware those are an option but also think it'd be good to know if this feature is already baked in too
