Do reservation dates still matter?

I converted an order today (7/2/21). My reservation was on day four (7/17/20). Does the reservation still matter or is it a free for all now?

Reservation is still a major part of the scheduling formula.

Ford does not take into account time stamps. Many people ordered several hours after me, same build, and are driving their Bronco today or got scheduled.
Hour 1 day one reservation number 1 at dealer and no scheduling in sight.

If the Bronco that I tried at KOH and Moab was not that awesome I would have canceled and never bought a Ford product ever again.
COVID is one thing. Their organization planning and communication is some of the worst I have ever seen from any company.

I believe orders had to be in by 3/19/21 to be included in the MY21. Why did you wait so long to order?

Yes, timestamps matter within your dealers allocation. However, commodity availability is the over riding factor and it still seems that soft tops have the greatest chance of being scheduled right now. At one point Ford had said a post 3/19 conversion would not be eligible for the first quarter of builds but that schedule is about full anyhow (June, July & August).

I really have no idea what waiting so long to convert your order will do for your place in line, especially with that build.

big takeaway is that nobody knows and I’m an idiot for not covering earlier.

I did consider soft top, but I can’t find any info on after market hard tops.
