Anyone put their skis in the trunk yet? Hoping my 185's will fit in there atleast at an angle...
with the seats down obviously..
P.S.- who's excited for the ski season??
Oh I am confident they will fit. I plan on fitting my mountain bike and longer cross country skis back there.

I’m always excited about ski season. It’s my job.

My daily drivers are all 190+ and 108 to 115 wide. Just bought some sweet new 207 Nordic skis too.

I plan on getting the Yakima Exo hitch rack for my 2 Door. Its modular and you can have bike rack, ski rack, and storage container. As for skis fitting, yeah no problem in 4 door. You would have to put down one of the rear seats.

By the way I also had one of the members in a 2 door measure for me, and my backcountry 184 skis will fit in the 2 door. They will come almost up to the dash, but who cares? I do the same thing in my Subaru Cross trek and works fine. Just put them in a ski bag so the skis dont scratch anything.

Pumped up...we could be getting FEET this weekend here in Lake Tahoe. I would be even more stoked if my Bronco was here and ready. Sadly I'm waiting until mid Nov for it to arrive but the timing is close! After years of melting snow inside cars and the ever present odor of wet carpet with the hint of mold I started renting a locker at the lodge. Park, walk in and garb skis. Best thing ever if you ski enough. That being said I'm 6'3" and when I laid down straight (not at an angle) I fit with the tailgate closed. Not much wiggle room but I could sleep in there when needed. 185s should be no problem!
