Does anyone know if the rear glass opens with the tailgate shut?

Wish it would roll down like my old 79 did
My 79 rear glass was awesome, but I have seen and heard many horror stories about water getting in there and ruining the motor and rusting it out over and over.

It seems like Ford could fix it with this Bronco, but it doesn't look like they have any interest in the swing out tire carrier, a fold down tailgate, and rear glass that rolls down into the gate. I'd love to see it though.

FWIW, if it's like my former JK, you can open the swing gate, then open the glass, then shut the gate, and drive like that with the rear glass open, for example if you need to carry something long hanging out the back.

+1 on this. I saw a picture of the bronco with the glass open and the tailgate shut.
