I'm sure this is somewhere on the forum, so forgive me for not looking more thoroughly, but do reservations NEED to match the name of the user who paid the 100 bucks, and got into the system when reservations opened?

Me and my wife were both hitting submit on multiple computers, and she finally got through back in July of 2020. I spoke with my local dealer here in Texas when it came time to order, and I explained to him my situation, and he didn't seem to even care. Just makes me worried because right now, the reservation my wife made (for a 2dr FE) is one of the earliest, timestamped reservations at the dealer. Top 10. And I don't want to give them an excuse to delay my order, or 99 it, whatever.

The Bronco is for me, technically, but her name is assigned to the reservation. Should I clear that up with Ford first? Before ordering? I saw in some document they made exceptions for transferring reservations as long as it was a family member, but we don't have the same last name, so naturally, I'm concerned.

I have heard that exceptions can be applied for in special circumstances. Your situation would meet that. I’m not sure what the process is but there is one.

I heard a family member switch is OK. If you have the same last name and address then you should be good, but I'm not 100% on that.

I see now you don't have the same last name, so I would definitely get that sorted out. Dealers can get a penalty for selling too many broncos not matching the name of the reservation.

Yes, the faq for dealers on reservations says that different named people in same household can use the reservation. They do have to file an exception. but yes.
