Does anyone know if ford offers a valet key?

I did a search for a replacement and found this, but I haven't read that these come with the vehicle. And does anyone know what ford charges for cutting & programming one of these?

Walk thru how to use this thing,
- manually unlock door?
- no battery so how would it start the vehicle?

The key is for manually unlocking the car. Valet mode is through SYNC. To start your Bronco with no battery, there is a slot inside the console where you lay your key. It does not need to have a battery installed. Once the key is in the slot, all you need to do is hit the start button.

This still requires a programmed/chipped key, not sure if that's what OP is looking for

I realize that, what he's looking for does not exist for the bronco.
That's what OP was asking to be fair -- does this thing exist. The answer is no, unless the spare second key that comes with the vehicle works for their purposes.

Definitely use valet mode from SYNC, however that only limits the capabilities of the vehicle and to my knowledge has no affect on the locking/unlocking/starting requirements.

So one of these comes with the bronco?
I guess I misunderstood. Sorry. Thereā€™s a valet key in your fob is what I was suggesting but thatā€™s it.

OP, what are you trying to accomplish with the valet key? There is a Valet mode that can be turned on in the Sync settings which that can't be turned off unless you enter the correct PIN.

Or I guess you could create your own Valet key with the spare fob and the MyKey settings.

I was hoping that valet key in my first post worked same as a dead battery key fob. Place the handle in the console coffin and hit the start button?

If the transponder could be programmed to the vehicle it might still work.

My research found the transponder in that valet key should be same as in the transponder in the Bronco keys.

Obviously I need to verify this but Iā€™ll ask the dealer how much to cut and program one of those keys. I donā€™t know if I can self program it since it doesnā€™t have any buttons.

You know what Iā€™m after, a waterproof minimalist key for those days when Iā€™m wearing my Speedo! šŸ˜‰.

Just kidding, itā€™s for when Iā€™m backpacking!

Keypad and done, faraday bag if you wish to put your fob in it. Then just take the key out of the fob with you in case of a dead battery. The keypad is $105 I think the web site says $30 to install not sure if that included programming (imo it should).
