Curious where everyone has their pets when going on short or long trips. Do you put them in the back seat with protective hammock, etc., or way back in the cargo area?

Our doggo WiFi usually is in the very back on the road. Offroad I fold the seats down and she does what she's wants. If I'm solo I put her in the front seat. In the end she typically just wants to go lie down on her pillow in the back. No fun til she can play with her ball I guess. Lol

As a retired professional Trainer....the safest place for them is in the cargo area in crates. Crates secured to the floor. Respectful recommendation.

In the back for the 2 big ones, the little one in the back seat so he does not get trampled.

@Moribach Seems we have the same exact build - including the aftermarket mud :)

My German Shepherd goes in the back seat. I’ve got a seat cover, and he has a zip line that he’s belted to. He can lie down, but he can’t go far.

I keep my 3 in the cargo area. Would lay back seats down (4 door) if my stuff wasn’t back there.

Whole reason for my 2 door was for riding with the dog. Like others, first thing out was the rear seat. Then added her riding bed. She loves it with the top off. Most are rides are all on Jefferson which run the lake shore. 35 mph speed limit. Easy ride.

I can appreciate that. We are admittedly guilty of the occasional back seat without a seatbelt harness. Certainly open to safer options going forward.

Currently I have mine seat belted in the rear seat of my sedan. Likely the same in the bronco, but even if he goes in the cargo area he will be buckled in with his seat belt strap

I hope my Gunner intermediate kennel fits in the back of my, yet to be delivered Bronco.
Gunner kennels are the best!
