I purchased the Dongar adapter that so many here have recommended and and am using it with the B4K dash cam.

Adapter: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B088P4VFQ7?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
Dashcam: https://www.amazon.com/Blueskysea-Dashboard-Recorder-170°Wide-Detection/dp/B08LTWG5LG

When driving however I am encountering constant re-starts of the dashcam which seems to be linked to auto start-stop.

I am trying to diagnose and prevent this from happening. Is anyone else encountering this issues with the adpater? Is the auto-dim mirror known to lose power when auto-start stop triggers?

Yes that os by design. When the Bronco is not running, the rear view doesn't have power.

Some IcC offer an external battery..otherwise you will have to run wires. There is at least 1 wire that runs into the upfitter that is powered by the delay timer so won't work for parking mode but will work for ASS

Thanks for the reply! That is disappointing, but what I expected to hear. Im surprised so many people have been recommending it with non-battery powered dashcams like the Gamin Mini 2. Looks like I'm hard wiring this weekend.

Yeah I was kind of bummed as well. I was hoping it was on that delayed power or something. Not sure why they felt it the need to kill the power to the mirror when you're literally still driving the car but just stopped at a light or something.

Hasn't been a huge issue for me since I turn off auto start stop every time I get in vehicle.
