I'd pay that if mine would stop whistling. I have complained to my dealer and Ford says they have no fix yet.

Clipped a post and broke the housing.. all the electronics still work (camera, lights, proximity indicator)... (FE 4 door, thankfully no damage to vehicle, just the mirror)

Doesn't matter. Entire housing is $1800.00

In shock... figured it'd be pricey, but wow.

Save yourselves!!!
Why do I feel peeps be stealing Mirrors!! Who needs Catalytic Converters, just snag them Mirrors!

Wow, thats still expensive isn't it? Is this normal for Ford cars in general? The Bronco would be the first Ford I've owned and this is scaring me. Or was everything cheaper pre-pandemic.

Did that to an ‘07 Carolla. Epoxied it because the replacement was pricey. Did it again a couple years later and by then there were aftermarket ones available for about $35.

Given that I just priced taillights for my daughter's F-150 at $80, yeah 1200 seems nuts.

I've thought about it. Not sure it's worth it to claim and have it affect my insurance for this and my other vehicle, long term.

We'll see.
I guess it can depend, but a comprehensive claim normally doesn't go against you. You are parked at the mall, came out in your mirror was broken. Insurance fixes it, and it doesn't count against you.

A truck smacked the driver side mirror on my 2011 F 150 Lariat once. The housing survived, after having all the seams popped back into place. Unfortunately the mirror was gone. I was able to get an entire side view on EBay, but before that I called the local Ford dealer to see how much just the glass mirror cost. I was told the glass mirror was $550. The sad part is, with a screwdriver the mirror glass can be simply popped out of the bracket. I remember thinking, now that I was retired, I could ride around mall parking lots and pop up F 150 mirrors and sell them at a cut rate price, and buy a shore home in some tropical country with the ill gotten gains.

My last car was a Sienna XLE Ltd, their highest trim. It had motorized mirrors which folded in (both, together) at the touch of a button next to the mirror-adjust. Great feature. Ford would do well to add that as an option--it would be real handy in tight parking spaces, not to mention the trail.
Those mirrors were $800 each, which I thought was real pricey, until this thread. That feature would probably add another $800 to these already high replacement costs.
