Finally pulled my doors. Little worried at highway speeds the air could lift the passenger foot mat off its lock and into the air. Anyone have any experience with this?

Right now I think I will just be pulling mat.

I saw a thread a few months ago that discussed that. I think someone used velcro strips to hold the mats down.

Just got it yesterday and havenā€™t pulled the doors yet. However, thatā€™s a solid piece of advice I wouldnā€™t have considered until it was a potentially very dangerous lesson. Thanks for posting!

Ditto, I pulled my rear mats before I left as I seen the same thread mentioned earlier. The doors are a bit of a PITA to put on compared to my wrangler. I wonā€™t be taking them off much.

Mine wanted to lift up at highway speed with all four doors off. (both passenger and rear rubber mats) I simply placed them in the back cargo area. I purchased the rear cargo net for next time I remove the doors.

Doors off is still more safe than a motorcycle so Iā€™ll ignore the off road use post.

I have the rear trunk for security with doors and top off.
My 2 door badlands is sweet with top and doors off. Will be this way for most of the summer!!

Thanks for the posts on the velcro.

Itā€™s fine until you get strong crosswinds. I ended up pulling mine since weā€™ve had gusts up to 40 recently.

No kidding. It amazes me how some people even get off the couch. Doors off is still far safer than the motorcycle Iā€™m on almost daily. Or some of the other more dangerous stuff I do.

It was tongue in cheek.
