Looking at the wrong vehicle, are we?
;)

Exactly. If you want to see what a 2.7EB can do, go on YouTube and watch one of a million tuned 2.7's destroying 392s :)

Just curious , ive swallowed the hook on the bronco for sure.
Just having fun while avoiding my own morning responsibilities, lol.

I think we're all really curious. As proven in the Mustang GT, however, the 10spd auto is a game changer. I don't expect a ton of difference, but tuned versions of either engine will be awesome in the Bronco!

*I'm committed to a manual and thus the 2.3L

Not sure how they could make a direct comparison of those two engines in the same vehicle yet, but they're on the list of things my gastroenterologist says to avoid.
Yeah, I just went searching YouTube and they haven’t...

They did a 2.3 vs 2.7 but it was Ranger/F150... and then they did three F150s but none have the 2.3.

And I’m with your gastroenterologist on this. The reason I was legitimately asking if TFL did it is because I avoid their content at all costs... and I consume a lot of garbage media so my tolerance is pretty high.

Somewhat relative, I wonder how many of the traditional reviewers are going to actually review the manual transmission? I'm sure the auto 2.3L will be quicker to 60mph, but I would like a professional off-road driver to review both and 2.3 vs 2.7 and whether or not they feel it's necessary.

I would just as soon have the 3.3L Ti-VCT non-turbo V6 as the base engine (as it is in the base F-150). Simpler, possibly more reliable over the long haul, doesn't have to spool up turbos to make reasonable torque.....

The only drag race that interest me would be seeing if the 2.3 can keep up with the 2.7 after the warranty period expires .

Since @damarble said the gen2 - 5 were basically F150’s, can I put this horse into the race?

My son has a 2.3 Ranger FX4, I have a 2.7 F150. The F150 beats it in a drag race, the difference is not as much as I expected, about the same as between my 2.7 and the Coyote 5.0 F150, (which I have also owned and drag raced) similarly equipped and geared.
