Drop date of ordering a FE?

Does anyone know the drop dead date of ordering a FE?

12/7 order accepted
1/14 order scheduled

Do we have to order in this window or can we wait awhile to actually see what the exterior and interior look like?

You will have to order in the same time window as all of us. Most of us will have never seen in person the colors or interiors we want.

I thought I read somewhere that reservations had to be converted to an order by 1/31. Not sure if there was any exception for FE reservation holders.

Everything I have been reading has all the ordering in by 1.31.21. Scheduling done in February based on timestamps and batch manufacturing.

Good question, I’m hoping to see the FE interior before orders start.

If I recall FE owners can opt out for the black top and take a late delivery date?

based on the new date of 1/14 order scheduled, sounds like Ford is going to start racking the converted orders earlier.

It's not going to matter when in that December to January window you order. Ford is going to take them all after it closes and sort them based on time stamp and production needs. Though your dealer may try to convince you otherwise to get you and whatever deposit they're requiring out of you as soon as possible. That's my understanding of the situation anyways.

Depends on how much of an ass your dealer is, and how much ford is going to fiddle with production timing.
I am leaning towards ordering my FE with a black top lol maybe i will end up with second model year FE

The you place your order has no impact on your date of delivery.
