Went thru the tunnel earlier this summer in a train. Wish I head my Bronco in Alaska. Had to rent a Jeep to drive to Whitehorse. Missed my rig the entire time.

My first thought was Buckaroo Banzai driving through an actual mountain. LOLWhen you say "drove through a mountain", I think this
Great drive, we did it a few years ago on the train. So yesterday after having had my Bronco in the shop for so long (leaky valve cover) and the weather having been nothing but rain since July 12th. I decided since it was nice out we were going on a road trip.
Decided to head south from Anchorage Alaska, stopping in Girdwood for pizza and Portage to look at the lake, where the Glacier used to be right up at the viewing platform (in the 90s, I'm old).
Then decided to take the Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel, which at 2.5 miles is the longest highway Tunnel in the United States. Once you get there, it ain't much to see and it has been 22 years since I was over there. But man the views are stunning. Found a road to a trailhead that was filled with craters (couldn't call them pot holes) and the Bronco rode so smooth.
All in all 110 miles, avg of 21.7 MPG on my Sasquatch 4dr 2.7. The adaptive cruise control is a game changer on our highways. People go from 40-63mph and not a ton of passing opportunities, so kick back enjoy the view and just steer..way more relaxed!
looks pretty cool there .Great drive, we did it a few years ago on the train.
Yes and they are powder coated silver. Are those the factory wheels? Did you have them painted? We took this same trip in Aug. 2022. You have a great place to live and use your Bronco.
Thank you! Yes my factory Sasquatch wheels are powder coated bright silver, I'm not a black wheel fan. That trip is awesome . We will hopefully accomplish a trip up from Florida some day maybe . Then again maybe not driving with the price of gas.. Are your SAS wheels powder coated? I like that very much.
I'm born and raised Alaskan so I've done it all, as a kid in elementary school our field trips would be to the wildlife center and Portage Glacier. Very lucky to be raised here.I love that place! Went thru that tunnel too years ago. I hope you visited the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center in Girdwood. It is a fabulous place that looks after injured or orphaned animals.

I have rigid pod lights, but only when no traffic is around. What you saw in the video is the factory headlights/fog lights on.Are you running any aftermarket lights?
If not, the focus on the headlights is incredible; no visible light leakage anywhere to be found.
You mean inept hunting ability. He never had the chance to do violence.Ya know, it's a shame Wile E. is remembered more for his tendency to violence and less for his extremely life-like tunnel paintings!
