Dual Top - Build and Price Fix

Just noticed Ford fixed the error on "Body painted hard top" dual top option. It now shows MIC + soft top for $1795. At least they fixed this error faster than the A/T mistake.

I was hoping that would be an option. I hate body colored tops on Jeeps, Bronco will be no different. The black modular will look great but for something I'll have off for 2/3 of the year, it's not worth it to me.

Good, as MIC + soft top is the dual top option I want. Just like the A/T I was pretty sure it was another B&P snafu that would eventually be corrected - glad it got done sooner rather than later. Now about that PPF pushing the 2.7L 4 door over the GVWR . . .

Looks like Bestop charges $2000 for the Ultra regular and fastback tops. Ford is only charging $1,100 and it has the nice tilt up feature when loading the back up. Not a bad deal at all.

Base model has MIC Hard top as "no charge"? What do you get for $1800? Is it because of the 4 door? I guess getting the 2 door would save a person $6200? Or only $5400 since the automatic is required I guess..

So the standalone price of the MIC is 1300 and the MOD is 2500. good to know and slightly better than expected.

sounds like the future cost to upgrade will be about 2000 given resale of MIC and maybe a bit of a hit on freight shipping of mod top to parts department, passed on to customer.

Compared to the price straight from Ford, the cost of waiting is about 800

Now they just need to fix it so that the Modular Hard Top actually shows up on the Badlands exterior picture. Currently when the Mod. Top is selected, it shows a Bronco without a top.

If MOD comes painted that is. Jeep tops do not from what the Jeepers have been telling us. Also got to figure in what the dealership markup will be along with shipping. I was budgeting $3500-4000 for a white top. I looked around for the black freedom tops on craigslist and they seem to run $500-$700 on there in decent shape.

Excellent! This is what I was wanting. I'm going OW with the MIC top on a 4DR BL (grill should somewhat match the roof) and was planning on adding a BesTop or figuring out how to order the Ford soft top separately. This is perfect for me.

Now, one.... last... niggle.... How to get the tube steps? Won't let me add those to a 4DR BL because it has the rock rails. Guess I've found what I'll spend my FordPa$$ dollars on. Just throw'em in the back, I'll fix that up in my driveway and stash the Rock Rails until such time as I'm wanting to bash the cr*p out of my $60K truck.
