Bumping this up for awareness. Anyone have or know of someone who has installed? @DV8offroad anything you can add?

I think its just and expensive billboard that adds extra weight to your tailgate.

Agreed - like the looks, along with the anti=theft, and reinforcement. So many details missing, e.g. what potential accessories can mount and how they connect, weight it can hold, etc.

I was going to order this, but at 54 lbs and $850 it desperately needs to include heavy duty replacement hinges. I wouldn't want to put the weight of that plus accessories or a 37" tire on the flimsy factory hinges.

I like it, easy install, finding a locking pin that fit was tough. It definitely makes my spare harder to steal.

Right? I’ve found DV8 products to have a nice quality and great fitment, but damn. They need to relax on the branding. I’d rather use the dremel cutting wheels on other things besides removing their brands.

I run this. I also use the TOR camera and carrier since my OEM was damaged. I have gone on trails and obstacles with this and no issues. Heck, I even backed into an obstacle and had no problems. No rattles, no squeaks. I am also running a 37.

This carrier spreads the weight across the tailgate so it does not need bigger hinges. Also the guard, which you can also lock, makes it very difficult for someone to try to take your spare. I do not have that issue, but hey it's there. Also, the guard allows you to carry other accessories, A high lift jack fits right across the back of the mount, and external mollie panels can be placed to hold other accessories.

Love my carrier for its strength and the uniqueness of it.

@SCFireChief curious what Locking PIN are you using on the DV8? I have the same setup and the Locking Pin that came standard rattles, it doesn't fit flush. I can see in your picture that you seem to have a different locking pin, so wondering if you found something else that works well. Thanks.

@texasmark04 : That looks like a locking pin for a trailer hitch or a bike carrier. I have one similar to that. It came with my Bike carrier. Actually it came with two. Also, I have one that adjusts, it is also similar. I would say measure the hole on the carrier and look for a locking pin for a trailer hitch.

Sorry for the delay in my response, I was out of town, I purchased this one, ground it down to fit snug and painted it. Works great! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08F3DTYPH?ref=ppx_pop_dt_b_product_details&th=1

I also purchased this to protect the keyhole from mud, dust and rain.

I don't want to add any weight to the tail gate- the spare is heavy enough as it is.

I have found the opposite. I got the bed rack for my JT. First, they are not made in the US and it shows. The packing was actually pretty decent, but it still was not enough and there was finish damage in shipping that I had to repaint. I wouldn't care on sliders or something, but the bed rack shouldn't need touch up and you pay for the powder coating. Second, the fitment is not quite right and the cross bars are WAY too long for the rails forcing you to bolt up one side and shove it toward the fixed side while a second person bolts up the loose end. Most concerning is that half of the welds where the cross bars secure have broken. In a year of use. All I have there is a spare, not a roof top tent or anything near the carry limit of the rack. I have to pull it off and weld it back up and repaint. Not something I should have to do for almost $1k. I see they changed the way the cross bars mount now. It may fit better but the weight is not riding completely on their welds, which I don't trust. In short, I won't buy things from them that supports weight any more. I do not trust it. I would suggest buying from a USA made fabrication shop of your choice.
