I have found the opposite. I got the bed rack for my JT. First, they are not made in the US and it shows. The packing was actually pretty decent, but it still was not enough and there was finish damage in shipping that I had to repaint. I wouldn't care on sliders or something, but the bed rack shouldn't need touch up and you pay for the powder coating. Second, the fitment is not quite right and the cross bars are WAY too long for the rails forcing you to bolt up one side and shove it toward the fixed side while a second person bolts up the loose end. Most concerning is that the 2 of the 4 welds where the cross bars secure have broken. In a year of use. All I have there is a spare, not a roof top tent or anything near the carry limit of the rack. I have to pull it off and weld it back up and repaint. Not something I should have to do for almost $1k. I see they changed the way the cross bars mount now. It may fit better but the weight is not riding completely on their welds, which I don't trust. In short, I won't buy things from them that supports weight any more. I do not trust it. I would suggest buying from a USA made fabrication shop of your choice.
Dangit. That blows. Hopefully itā€™s not a common issue and youā€™re an unlucky one. We just have a rear bumper and the overhead panel, and they went together nicely. I didnā€™t care for how the bumper was attached to the mounts (they did the same thing Ford did up front with the clippy nut thingies) but weā€™ve smacked it off some rocks pretty hard and it has yet to fall off. šŸ˜¬šŸ¤žšŸ¼

Yeah, not excited to pull it all apart and grind off the paint to weld it back. I really like the design. I was hard to find one that sits low enough that my spare was below the cab and not catching wind. I may reinforce the mounting points while it's off to be safe. Are you saying the bumper mounting points are the clip in nuts, not through-hole fasteners or threaded into the holes that the stock recovery points use?

Yip. The bumper mounts are separate from the bumper itself. Where they mount to the frame you just use the factory bolts for the recovery points, but where the mount bolts up to the bumper? Just those chincey clips. And thereā€™s plenty of room for a nut to have been welded in there. But, this was cheaper, faster, and likely aligns easier to allow for loose tolerances elsewhere.

Yikes. Does it include a winch plate?

Luckily the bumper itself has no provisions to promote using it to hook a winch/rope to.

Then there are people that further hack the bumper to run a winch line through it while also accommodating a frame mounted spare tire carrier.

At least the recovery points sound well mounted. I don't think I would buy one after hearing about that mount up, but I am already out after my experience anyway. I'm sure you could fab in some more mounting, but I don't like having to do that on brand new parts.

She throttled out of it and set it down nicely, so in real life there was enough time to say ā€œgo go go go!ā€ and ā€œoh shit!ā€ Before the pucker fully set in šŸ˜‚
