I am able to keep a majority of my recovery gear in the rear under floor storage but I was out of space. Installing the DV8 box which they technically designed for ARB compressor helped add more storage space and move more stuff from under my rear seat. This was a super easy drop in install.

How deep is the DV8 box? I don’t see reference to it on their site.

I have the same box. While it’s a drop-in from the top on a Braptor it’s more labor intensive on other Broncos due to the exhaust system. Check the installation instructions.

.
I looked at the install instructions before I posted for the compressor version. I looked at the version you linked. I don’t see reference to the depth. I must be missing it.
I’ve gone to a custom exhaust with my muffler relocated to under the drivers seat and outlet on drivers side bumper. I’ve got plenty of room.

Actually here’s the compressor box originally mentioned and it’s what I have. I suspect it’s the same with the exception of the center divider and provision for compressor mounting. In retrospect I wish I had purchased the first one I linked as I won’t be mounting a compressor. Very well made and heavy duty.

Good luck.

OEM is 4 3/8", DV8 is 6" plus the DV8 has the kick out towards the bumper.

DV8 Storage with compressor for reference also - mine is a bit more involved since I have a regulator for air tools and solenoid for air horn. I also have a 2 gal tank where a muffler would've gone if I had a regular Bronco.

Any images of the 2 gallon tank mounted? Do you use it for the air horn? Does it help when refilling the tires?

Thanks!

Yes the tank is necessary for the air horn, but I also have a remote air chuck setup so I can air down or use air tools. Does it help...I suppose, either way the compressor needs to run to try and keep 130psi in the tank which is what the ARBs internal pressure switch is set at....which is why I have a regulator since most air tools recommend 90psi.

Can anyone confirm if the muffler must be removed?
(i.e. removal of rear bumper is necessary in order to reach the muffler bracket bolts.)

For Raptor no - but for the 2.7 and 2.3 yes - It might be possible to drop the new one in from the top, but it doesn't look like it. Honestly - I'd try it that way before going thru the effort of removing the muffler, ya never know.

The way the directions are written, it has you unclamp the muffler from the exhaust and pull it off the rubber mount, not remove the actual bracket so I don t think it will require removing the bumper. I was able to drop mine in from the top btw.

Question: Do you have an issue or need to follow this if you have an aftermarket system? I have a Magnaflow exhaust system, and the muffler section is not where the stock one would be.

I have been considering if I wanted to do onboard air, I have not really needed it as of yet, but like insurance, you don't need it until you need it. If I was to do it, I was looking at putting it in the back, though I think one of the newer brackets could fit with my Injen system if I went under hood. Still, I think I would rather it be in the back.

I’ve got one in my 2Door. Any chance to gain some additional storage space in a 2Door is worthy, even it’s a small improvement. Install was very straightforward. Anybody with basic tools can do it, a small pry bar & some WD40 makes quick work with the exhaust hanger. I was skeptical about the adhesive on the heat shield, but i installed it long ago and it’s still going strong. I’d buy it again.
