wow adding more holes to the bumper makes the front end start to look like honeycomb - too much

This CGI preview bumper is made out of Tungsten-Titanium-Kryptonite. It's unbreakable.
Actually, I think it's made of Unobtanium, same thing as the Bronco...

That bumper isn't terribly difficult from a manufacturing standpoint. It starts life as a CNC waterjet cut plate of steel. All the Badlands grille openings, logos, openings are waterjetted at that state as well. All the sharp creases are where it gets hit with a CNC sheet metal brake. The top of the bumper and the formed lower edges are all tabs separated by pie cuts (V-shaped cuts) so that when you fold the front face the pie cuts close up and are welded. Grind the welds smooth, attach your brackets that mount to the truck and powdercoat. Tying in the winch mount is the biggest question and that may or may not be a challenge. Just depends on how things look when they get a truck apart.
I was more referring to the Bronco and space behind the bumper. I have been up close and personal with a couple of Broncos and there is not much room behind it!

I'd prefer buying the Badlands without the metal bumpers so can upgrade to ones of my choice. If the Wildtrak had the sway disconnect, I'd probably go that route and give up the wash out floor. The stock modular steel front bumper is pretty ugly IMHO. Looks cobbled together from an erector set (those that had one as a kid will understand)
