I actually have a dealership about an hour away that will accept X Plan, but I don't have it currently. Someone mentioned the Mustang club, another person mentioned buying Ford stock and then waiting 60 days. Are these valid ways to qualify, and is there an even easier way? Seems like joining the Mustang club might be the easiest of the two.

Mustang club starts at $25. At least it did when I signed up 2 weeks ago. And that is your 60 day wait.
The other option is 100 shares of Ford stock and you become eligible in 6 months.

Ahh, my bad. I see. Thanks, EvlNvrDys!

Tell me if I'm wrong, but X Plan seems like an even better deal that the $1000 off invoice. My understanding is that X Plan pricing is:

Invoice - 0.4% + $275 program fee

Is that right?

You may have it through your employer. I work for a large American manufacturing company and we are elligible for Ford X-plan along with similar plans from GM and FCA. I also believe if you have a friend who works for Ford or a Ford Dealership they are allowed to generate 2 PIN's per year for "friends and family".

I knew about the stock holder eligibility but didn't realize it was 100 shares until recently (I've only got 20). I'll probably go for the Mustang club option when the time comes. Who knows, maybe by the time I can afford it there will already be some sitting on the lot!

I signed up for MCA but how do I get a PIN?
Not sure, but think we might have to wait the 60 Day grace period to get PIN. I also signed up a few weeks ago. Well worth the $25 not to play the dealer haggle game, IMO.

Not in our case. It's dealer invoice - 0.4% + program fee.

So right now the $1000 under invoice is better.

Once you get membership card (in about a week) you can go to MCA website and get pin. But from what I understand pin isn't required til you sign contract for Bronco. So I'd hold off on getting the pin til you need it.

You're right. Not sure what I was thinking when I typed that. lol

I still like having the option, though. Just in case something goes wrong with the Iowa dealership, there is a local dealership that accepts X Plan.

I signed up for MCA a few days ago and it led me to get a PIN number within minutes, and then it generated a color certificate to print and bring to a dealer

I got the ford stock. My question I asked the dealer was which discount was stronger, Veterans, Xplan, or a outside vehicle purchase program?
