Just saying... the only thing that was stopping criminals from being a criminal has basically been mooted.
Here in Texas, criminals run the risk of getting legally shot for stealing others' property. I love our castle doctrine!

Everyone knows Texas is one of the few states that don't have their heads up their ---- !

When I can finally get out of Cali...TX may be on the radar!

Thanks for the comments, some good observations and suggestions. Nothing will stop a thief with enough time and determination. It appears Ford has thought the Bronco design, maybe they’ve already thought of theft issues.

As someone else already mentioned, swapping out a couple screws or bolts with a security variant will throw a "wrench" in most thieves' plans.

As the owner of 4 Pintos in my early driving career, I'm highly educated on the model. If you care to investigate it, it was found after all the hysteria generated by Ralph Nader and the Center for Auto Safety, the Ford Pinto was actually safer than its contemporaies of the era; i.e. Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, AMC Gremlin, and the Chevy Vega.
You leave my Vega out of it ?

I just watched a video on how easy it was to remove the end cap of the front bumper on a Bronco and it got me thinking back on my 42 years in law enforcement. Something that’s easy to remove makes it easy to steal and the more that are stolen creates a market for replacement parts. A vehicle is worth much more than MSRP in parts and to help resolve the stolen vehicle problem for parts, most vehicles have the VIN stamped on them. This helps law enforcement track stolen vehicles/parts.

I’d hate to walk around my new Bronco to take inventory of missing parts!
In Miami they don't take one part at a time, they just take the whole car.

The pinto..yes nothing like a metal bumper piercing a gas tank, but at least someone had to hit you.

GM’s Fiero (the name says it all) ..just caught fire on their own.
