As I posted prior, Ford significantly beefed up encryption on this ECU, likely just more bits, and it's unlikely to be cracked. They want the money going to tuners today (or at least a share of it).

"Crack" as in send in yours and have it literally unsealed and a tune uploaded or cracked generically so any tune can be written to anyones vehicle? I wouldn't be so confident in the latter.

It will be a handheld you can upload tunes to the ECU with. Just like the always do. No sending ECU in. I meant cracking as in breaking through the software security.

Well, GM also claimed their new Global B architeture in the the C8 Vette is "essentially hack proof" but it was cracked.

Not sure the Braptor market is as large as the C8 market.

Here's to SCT hoping they can do it.

Power will be capped until the ecu is cracked. 2.7 is around 450 whp max right now with the fuel delivery as it is. 3.0 will make more.

Every tuner is working on cracking the ecu. For the last 2 1/2 years.

For the 2 door 450whp is just about right. Thinking braptor will have to be over 500 to keep up. I’d guess braptor will come in around 550 maxed for general bolt ons and tune.

Is the STOCK running 87 gas?
Why is the STOCK pull started at 2200rpm? The others have more time to generate boost when they start their pulls at 1700 RPM

Spoke to COBB today, they have no plans to provide an Accessport for the Bronco Raptor either.

That sucks, guess we shall see if Ford Performance come out with one. if not sure I will tune since there is no way to switch back and forth with the Whipple.

Any idea if the Whipple Tune will be 50-state compliant for smog/emissions testing? I would only want to write the ECU once with the Whipple and not go back and forth every time I need to get the vehicle smogged.

After talking to someone at ford performance it seems very unlikely ford will create a tune for the Braptor.
