Stock Bronco Badlands Non-SAS here and looking to upgrade my suspension/wheels/tires. I am torn between the Eibach Coilover 2.0s and the Bilstein 6112s. I want to retain the high-speed off-road capability of the stock Bilstein ESCV. I know the Eibachs are adjustable and come fully loaded for ease of install. The Bilstein kit seems to handle better off-road but may not be as comfortable as the Eibachs. Any insights or recommendations are greatly appreciate!

We have the 2.0 Eibach lift, set almost as low as possible. The rear shocks are a bit light on rebound, but overall the trail/street ride is great, far better than stock. IMO, too soft for aggressive/speed driving.

I keep forgetting to contact Eibach and see what I can do to adjust the shim stack, guessing the larger rebound shims are .008 and should be .010 or .012.

BTW: high speed offroad = reservoir shocks, preferably adjustable for both high/low speed compression and rebound.

6112s. 2.5 vs 2.0, last a lot longer, 1/2 cost...look up shocksurplus review. Very happy with my 6100 and would only upgrade to 8112s if they ever get released.

6112’s for fast offroading. Eibachs for slow speed rock crawling and extra cushy street ride.

I'll second that! The on road ride is softer than stock on my '22 Wildtrak 4 door and the lift at it's lowest setting fit my needs perfectly. We'll get her offroad in Colorado in October and see how she responds.

I went with the Eibachs for the cushy ride and infinite adjustability. They did have to send me a heavier set of fronts because they were maxed and I still could not get level. Definitely go with a 2.5 if you are looking for high speed off road. Shock Surplus is your friend. Great reviews.

We were there back in May but most of the trails weren't open yet. Will be back this October to tackle Imogene, Black Bear Pass along with the Alpine Loop! Can't wait!!

These are 2 routes I'm considering going today! Black friday so why not.

Question: I don't want to be flopping and dipping everywhere on-road when taking corners and braking. I will not be going high speed off-road that much. Mostly slow rock crawling when I go off road. What would everyones opinions be on these two solutions for my situation and preference?

Question: OP: did you end up going with one of these and can you report your findings?

Thanks

The Eibach's aren't flopping and dipping everywhere, but do have more brake dive than the Bilstein ESC-V shocks that come standard on the Badlands. That said, I don't think that you will go wrong with either. The Eibach's appear to be the softer of the two options.

I know it's late to the party but I got the Eibach's and no sway bars installed and it drives great to me on the street. I don't do high speed desert, just rock crawling and slow trails.

I think a lot of us are in a similar situation deciding between these two options. I have been in and ridden with several Broncos with both setup ups. I would say the descriptions and reviews are spot on. The Eibachs do have a bit more travel and the Bilstein have a leg up on handling and higher speeds off road. If the stock SQ shocks didn’t drop the reservoirs so consistently (rears at least) I would just upgrade the springs, they are actually really good stock. At the end of the day, I want a softer ride and more travel, plus the Eibach are about 30% cheaper.

I went 6112s. Ride is great on the highway and great offloading. I have a 4 door badlands nonSAS. Installed method rim and 35 in tires. I can't speak for the Eibachs

Any particular reason you didn't transplant your badlands non-SAS springs on to a set of 6100's?
