Install:

Install was pretty straight forward. Provided directions are accurate and included nice pictures. I’ve installed a few leveling kits on F150’s, and this kit was no different. Very similar install that is easier with 2 people, but totally doable with 1. The most difficult part was getting the factory HOSS coils out of the front, but with a decent pry bar we made it happen. The Eibach coils also use bolts instead of studs on the top hat. I used studs I had laying around to help align the holes during the installation.

Note - driver side axel nut was cross threaded from the factory. I believe I’ve seen that posted somewhere else here before. Something to look out for. I didn’t have time to order a replacement so I had to send it.

Note - keep track of which nut goes with what (UCA, tie-rod, sway bar) they can be confusing.

Initial Impression:

I forgot to take a picture of the Eibachs next to the HOSS coils but they were about an 1” longer out of the box. All hardware was included for install.

I didn’t adjust the height after install, and I gained about 2 1/2” inches of lift. A little much for my tastes and purposes. The factory ride was already relatively stiff, and the Eibach coils felt very similar with a little more nose dive under heavy braking. I noticed a slight loss in articulation after install with sway-bar unlocked.

After lowering the front and rear about an 1” the ride is smoother and I suspect I’ve gained some travel back. Overall very happy with the ride quality after 1000 miles.

The supplied ride height adjuster is good quality, but a cheater bar makes the adjustment much easier. Tire removal is recommended when adjusting ride height. As with all kits, alignment is required after adjustment.

Conclusion:

I chose this kit because of the attractive price, height adjustability, and the fact that they came pre-assembled. I cross shopped this kit with the OME nitro kit and Fox 2.0, and am happy with my decision. I don’t plan on doing any high speed off-roading, so the lack of reservoir isn’t a big deal to me. Thinking about dropping this kit further in the future. Maybe another 1”.

I called and spoke with a few people at Eibach before ordering. They told me that they benchmarked the factory Bilstein coils when developing this kit, and that they should outperform in terms of travel and ride. This kit is a good option for those with factory HOSS looking for height adjustment, and a great upgrade for those with the factory hitachi coils looking for a solid lift.

In the future I may consider UCA’s but I’m not sure if I would gain anymore travel with them. The front axles appear to be maxed out at full droop, and I don’t want to risk damaging them anymore than I have to. Overall I’m very satisfied with this kit and highly recommended it!

Great looking truck! That lift looks great with your setup. My shop actually sells this as a kit with upper control arms and they do add strength compared to factory ball joints and allow for more articulation.
I have an Outer banks at our shop right now that we are getting ready to install this kit on and installing a set of 37" Tires.

This is our kit that we offer for $3350. We are starting to see more orders come through with this setup as it is very affordable looks great!

If you drop it another inch please post another picture. I’m planning to get an OBX and instantly add 285/75r17 tires with new wheels. I also wanted to upgrade from the factory hitachi coilovers for a better ride on-road and better articulation on the beach, plus this with be a tow rig for my 3000lb boat/trailer.

The OBX that we have in the shop already has a Sasquatch package with 35' tires (pic below). Another guy asked me in another post about spring rates. The good new is that with these Eibach kits, they do make a heavier 700lb spring if you plan on installing a heavy steel bumper/ winch and are planning on towing. Just figured I'd mention it.

When we install this lift kit above, I will play with the ride height settings and post pictures it since its our newest addition to the kits we offer.

Factory engineered Sasquatch package for the win. All the aftermarket stuff just strains components to achieve nothing…oh wait…37s!! 🙄

Thanks. I have no plans to install a winch, just wouldn’t have a need for it. I mainly am interest in the Eibach coilovers to provide a better on-road ride and comfort during towing the boat.

The Sas package is really nice don’t get me wrong, but currently my badlands sits a lot nicer than our FE in terms of height and level. I would say it also has a softer ride in its current setting. I’m not a fan of the Sas wheels, and much prefer the badlands wheels, they’re a little more unique.

Peep the SumoSprings in the installed pictures. I’ll have an update on those after I’ve towed with them.

A softer than Sasquatch suspension would spook me to all heck as I’ve already pissed myself under brake dive and giggled when it crouches after shifting into gear.

Post some pictures of the flex! Thanks for the review, I am still cross shopping Eibach, OME and Icon.
Here it is. Not sure how I feel about it.
Both images are on 35” tire.

Maybe I gained some droop, but definitely lost up travel. I’m not too familiar with how lifting IFS works in terms of gaining travel but I would say it’s probably the same amount of travel just moved further from the chassis. The driver rear tire was just off the ground in both pictures. I know, not very scientific but I don’t have an RTI ramp anywhere I can use. Thoughts?

From what I gathered talking with Eibach is the shocks are longer but don't add travel. Basically same as adding a spacer lift, everything shifts down. Biggest benefit is being able to adjust the height to your needs. It's just nice to see that they didn't go to stiff on the springs and you aren't lifting tires. Looks like you would rub a 37 in tire in the front.

Have you bottomed out? Wondering how the bump stops feel? Harsh or soft?

I haven’t bottomed it yet that I know of. All shocks have a yellow bumper on the shaft that looks like it would act as a solid bump stop though. I think I could’ve run 37’s with this kit at max height setting, but it would be a bumpy ride.

Did you need to add wheel spacers to the OE Badlands Wheels?
They‘re a +55 offset @8”

Going through a lot of the specs for the different UCAs and most are calling out a max backspacing of 5.00. With a recommend 4.75+/-
That equates to a 17x8.5 w/0 offset

Eibach is claiming you can keep the OE UCA, but there’s no way if you’re going to go up on the preload.
