Stock badlands on 33” tire
Eibach Pro Truck 2.0 Lift with 35” tire
Install:
Install was pretty straight forward. Provided directions are accurate and included nice pictures. I’ve installed a few leveling kits on F150’s, and this kit was no different. Very similar install that is easier with 2 people, but totally doable with 1. The most difficult part was getting the factory HOSS coils out of the front, but with a decent pry bar we made it happen. The Eibach coils also use bolts instead of studs on the top hat. I used studs I had laying around to help align the holes during the installation.
Note - driver side axel nut was cross threaded from the factory. I believe I’ve seen that posted somewhere else here before. Something to look out for. I didn’t have time to order a replacement so I had to send it.
Note - keep track of which nut goes with what (UCA, tie-rod, sway bar) they can be confusing.
Initial Impression:
I forgot to take a picture of the Eibachs next to the HOSS coils but they were about an 1” longer out of the box. All hardware was included for install.
I didn’t adjust the height after install, and I gained about 2 1/2” inches of lift. A little much for my tastes and purposes. The factory ride was already relatively stiff, and the Eibach coils felt very similar with a little more nose dive under heavy braking. I noticed a slight loss in articulation after install with sway-bar unlocked.
After lowering the front and rear about an 1” the ride is smoother and I suspect I’ve gained some travel back. Overall very happy with the ride quality after 1000 miles.
The supplied ride height adjuster is good quality, but a cheater bar makes the adjustment much easier. Tire removal is recommended when adjusting ride height. As with all kits, alignment is required after adjustment.
Conclusion:
I chose this kit because of the attractive price, height adjustability, and the fact that they came pre-assembled. I cross shopped this kit with the OME nitro kit and Fox 2.0, and am happy with my decision. I don’t plan on doing any high speed off-roading, so the lack of reservoir isn’t a big deal to me. Thinking about dropping this kit further in the future. Maybe another 1”.
I called and spoke with a few people at Eibach before ordering. They told me that they benchmarked the factory Bilstein coils when developing this kit, and that they should outperform in terms of travel and ride. This kit is a good option for those with factory HOSS looking for height adjustment, and a great upgrade for those with the factory hitachi coils looking for a solid lift.
In the future I may consider UCA’s but I’m not sure if I would gain anymore travel with them. The front axles appear to be maxed out at full droop, and I don’t want to risk damaging them anymore than I have to. Overall I’m very satisfied with this kit and highly recommended it!
