I just joined this group and I’m wondering if I need to adjust my order now. It sounds like the 2.3L is pretty powerful but I’m wondering if I’m gonna regret not getting the 2.7L later. I’m not likely to use it off-roading, mainly just got to the mountains to ski/snowboard.

thoughts?

It's cool you're curious and welcome to the site but there are literally two whole forum sections discussing the 2.3 and 2.7.

Let me summarize, the 2.3 is plenty but many still want the 2.7 for fun.

Go test drive a Ford Ranger, that has the 2.3L in it, then you will get a good idea.

Yes, The amount of information on here is mind blowing. It really is. Makes the journey that more fun. You'll be bust for weeks if not months just to catch up.

2.7L is commodity restricted as of now, so one pro to the 2.3L is that you could potentially get it sooner if you don't also get lux package, wildtrack, sasquatch, painted roof, blah blah blah

Define later...

im already nervous that some government legislation is going to strangle combustion engines entirely.
