All I need:

Bear Grylls knife.
Bear Grylls vacuum insulated water bottle.
iPad with all episodes and seasons of Man vs Wild.
I used to respect the crazy crap he did on that show till I found out they would helicopter him out every day to stay at a hotel after they were done filming what they wanted to on that particular day.

You guys list all good stuff, but I never saw tire chains, tied for number one with a hi lift jack

Tire chains for off-road or snow? Illegal for roads here in Michigan...how are you using them?

Off road mostly, deep snow and mud. Not much a hi lift and chains won't get you out off. They are legal on road in Colorado, but seldom needed with 4wd

So having watched a guy with a 2.7 get bogged down on Fort Fisher State Park ORV beach and then the engine caught on fire, I am thinking a fire extinguisher.

He shoveled sand on it to put it out.
Yep, I had a nice roll bar strap holder for a small auto/marine fire extinguisher. Have to find a place to mount one in the Bronco

What additional equipment will you be adding to your rig for Trail use, Overlanding, everyday use, etc.

why this particular piece of equipment?
How has it helped you in the past?
I would really love to put up a rooftop tent!! I’m looking at the roof nest falcon XL. It’s a killer hard clamshell design rooftop tent. It weighs 160 pounds though, not including the Thule aero blade cross rails necessary to mount it. Any idea on how far apart the roof rails are? Also I was wondering about the mounting points on the two and four-door for the Yakima rails...

Took stock of what I currently carry in my F150 daily:
An "overnight" bag with a change of two season appropriate clothes, towels, basic toiletries and several pairs of socks and some spare shoes. I keep this at all times and it has been a massive help in a number of situations, especially dry socks and shoes. Never been a life or death thing, but has been the difference between packing up and heading home early and staying out and playing.
A MRE and some water in bottles that can deal with being frozen.
A tow strap, shackles, and one of the those 4 way hitch adapters that includes a hook/clevis.
Folding shovel
A basic set of tools (sockets, wrenches, scredrivers, pliers). A "last ditch effort" box of zip-ties, tape, crappy electrical connectors
A lithium jump box. I was totally amazed that this tiny little thing was able to crank my coyote like there was nothing wrong when the battery was so dead the odometer didn't even display.
A rechargeable flashlight.
A small 12v compressor

For the bronco I plan on doing OBA with either the ARB or Viair with QD's at the front and rear
I plan on running large gauge wire with anderson powerpoles to the front and making up a number of slave ends for various functions (jumper leads, battery maintainers, ham radio's, worklights).
High-lift jack and pad.
A manual come-along

Picked up these. Only about $20 and are made pretty good. A lot cheaper than most of the water containers out there. Got it at bass pro shops.

Been using these for years in my trailer. Well made for the price. Little hard to pour when full though.

I won't put much more in Bronco than I carry now.

-Tow rope
-Shackles
-Come along (I don't always carry this one)
-Snatch block
-Tool roll
-A cheap but solid garden spade. I don't like those folding, collapsible, super expensive shovels.
-Tire repair kit
-Compressor. Just a cheap one. May upgrade
-Water
-Bit of food
-Waterproof duffle with clothes and boots
-First aid kit

I'll probably get a hi-lift to round out the kit.
