That is serious meats done right... WOW that is a lot of work keeping that center of mass down low. I am impressed sir!!!!yep I squeezed in huge 41s...
had to do ALOT more trimming and sawing and modifications to get the huge meats to fit, but there on now!
These tires are taller and WIDER than my 40s previously.
I absolutely love the soft sticky tread, and is amazing there is almost ZERO road noise! WAY quieter than the yokahama Extreme MTs from before.
No balance beads or lead weights! Interco now ballances the tires at the factory with a weighted patch on the inside of the tire, BRILLIANT IDEA as the weight is out near the tires circumference instead of at the wheel (which is too close to the center of rotation to work well anyway)
Overall, I'm just amazed a tire this big can be stuffed onto a bronco without jacking it up to the moon. I wanted HUGE tires and a very low Center of Gravity. under 2" of total lift!
still have a few tweaks here and there to make it perfect but I thought I would share pics of the progress.
I removed the Ford steel flairs and bolted them back on about 2" higher up and changed the radius on the front ones....cut off anything hanging below.
Still need to move or swap out the windshield wiper fluid canister and trim the rear bumper...
So you are going back to the HOSS 2.0 steering rack? The only thing missing is some cast iron portals.the tires are 100 lbs, so 145 with beadlocks.
Yea but have you followed how much work it is to keep the lift down.... Move this an inch and this over here a couple inches... remove all this them roll the fenders then... and... then... and... and ... and... To do this in this manner? One hell of a lot of work.Wow now that is so cool. Didn't have to go so far over the top for a huge lift to fit such big tires. Love it!
I'm in talks with a custom body shop on plans to fit 42" Mickey Thompson's and yeah let's just say sticker shock. Apparently it's a lot of work.Yea but have you followed how much work it is to keep the lift down.... Still might need to make a six point turn to traverse the starbucks drive throughIn the mid 80's a local guy had a Dodge Power Wagon that he had 44s on it with no lift. This build reminds me of that. The difference is that guy didn't wheel it. Big Meats wheels his.
I couldn't believe I actually found a google pic of one similar.
You ever hear about the guy in Cali that put 47's on an FJ Cruiser? I was looking for photos but couldn't find any... lolIn the mid 80's a local guy had a Dodge Power Wagon that he had 44s on it with no lift. This build reminds me of that.
