I'm Back! I thought my decision was down to a 2DR BB or BD...But I always come back to the Badlands. My thought process took me to a place where I would be upgrading the tires, or tires and wheels...so why not just SQUATCH it? So I price them out, then I build my Badlands 2door, which I like the wheels, I like the narrow fender flares, I like the tires, I like the lights, grill, seat surface, hero switches, aux switches AND I can get the 7spd with mid package. Plus the upgraded instrument panel (whatever that turns out to be).

I believe it is time to take my vow of fidelity towards the Badlands. Mine eyes shall strayeth no longer. So it is written, so it shall be done.

I agree. I feel like a blindfold has been raised from mine eyes; a weight has been lifted from my shoulders. Air smells fresher, birds are singing louder...and stuff.

TOP FIVE REASONS FOR GETTING A BRONCO -BADLANDS- MANUAL- 2D (IMO)

IMO: This is a personal choice and everyone has different reason for getting a Bronco, picking a certain type of TRIM and Style..
Here are my overall top five reasons (Higher level):

1. Bronco seems to really understand what JEEP people want and how to make it better!! IMO
2. Manual / 2-door is a ”Car TOY” and is meant to be used to explore and experience new things (NOT A Commute vehicle) FUN!!!!
3. Badlands really means BadASS!!
4. Getting a Bronco is like selecting a “Life Style”!! This is why people do not get why some of us like Manual and DO NOT CARE ABOUT NOISE or GAS Milage!!!
5. OPEN AIR - Customize all you want and hand it over to your child 10+ years from now (For me.. more like 20+ Hopefully!!

WHAT IS YOUR TOP FIVE REASONS?

I have 5 top reasons for getting a Badlands (but I'm getting a AT. My MT days are over)

1. Top off.

2. Easy to get in and out of. (I'm past the days of getting in and out of sports cars)

3. I won't get stuck in my snow covered driveway like I do in my F-150.

4. Get to hiking trailheads and landscape photography spots that I couldn't get to before.

5. Generally knowing that I have a vehicle that can get me anywhere I want to go when I'm out exploring.

Top Five Reasons for Buying a Bronco Badlands 2-door.
  1. Want a Carb Gray Badlands with Sasquatch. That will read, “Trail Rig”.
  2. A great platform for lighting, roof rack, off-road gear.
  3. My F150 is my pack mule. My Badlands will be my mountain goat.
  4. Need to go off-roading in northern Maine and beyond.
  5. Want to complete Black Bear Pass in Colorado. My Badlands will be purposely built to complete that goal and more.

Love this thread! I have been set on the Badlands since I put my reservation in on 7/15. I have gone back and forth on options, but I think I have landed on the 2-door, non-SAS. Maybe. LOL Think I might swap out the stock tires and wheels for some Method Racing wheels and 33x12.5x17 BFG KM3's once I get the Bronco and determine what offset and backspacing I will need. I love the look of the 33" tires, and I think 12.5 wide will look really good with the non-SAS fender flares.

I defected from the Wildtrak (which was OK with my dealer).

reason for switching:
-Badlands = most capable 4 x4
-front sway bar disconnect
-Advanced 4 x 4 automatic on demand Engagement (7 modes including Rock crawl and Baja)
-full steel bash plates
-rock rails
-marine grade vinyl
-wash out holes in floor (much preferred over carpet.)
-steel bumpers front and rear
-MIC steps on each side of rear steel bumper (see pic).
-MIC hardtop is just what I wanted.
-hate the black horse on the Wildtrak tailgate (chrome on Badlands perfect see below thread)
-prefer the silver/gray beadlock ring of the Badlands SASQ beadlock capable wheels.

My mid Jan. converted reservation order will be :

-Badlands 2dr
-Area 51
-2.7/ 10sp.
-LUX pck
-SASQ pck.
-Tow pck
-hardtop sound deadening headliner
-floor liners
