I changed the oil in my previous car over 60 times over 16 years. Never stripped the drain plug or replaced it. Replaced the washer a few times. Never used a torque wrench on a drain plug either, but I’ll bet I have done 2,000 oil changes in 40 years

Funny. Yeah not the most glamorous part of the job. Engine work was more satisfying. But, doing PM’s was pretty easy duty
