Hey,

The flex pipe flange to exhaust pipe (muffler end). Are the bolts (studs) part of the flange or can I just cut them off and pop them out?

No luck with spray soaking and heat... Nuts are worn out now... ugh!!!

They are studs and definitely part of the flange. Any luck yet? I feel your pain... šŸ˜¬

What are you using for heat?

Hey, a torch. I think the issue is the nuts are small and my impact wrench rounded one. Just a little too tight.

I was at the dealership today. Spoke with parts dept. and he pulled the drawing. the studs are part of the flex pipe flange.

Plan to drop the flex pipe, once the studs are cut and drill out the studs so i can install bolts onto the flange with some anti-seize / N-5000. More work friendly...

Thatā€™s a bummer. Surprised the acetylene torch wouldnā€™t loosen it up.

Yeah, it probably would but I don't have a fire blanket. There's an electrical connector & sound deadening material just above (little tight). Had to rotate my guard bcuz the sparks from my cut-off grinder was starting to burn a hole in the sound barrier. Oops....

Sounds like you have a decent alternative plan
