I plan on doing a bunch of beach driving this summer and I am looking for a set of recovery boards. Are the expensive boards worth it?

I like actiontrax because they are made in the US and you can replace any broken plastic teeth with nuts and bolts.

Are the any other recovery boards made in US?

I have a set of MaxTrax and a set of knockoffs from amazon. Both work equally well, positive results. I have used both sets, relatively equal amounts. Snow, sand, rock trails etc... A gamble but save your money. To be fair there are really cheap ones that may be at best worthless and at worst dangerous.

The trail professional at the off-roadeo swore up and down that the high dollar ones are the only way to go. Read reviews ask around (like you are.)

I went with GoTreads XL instead of Maxtrax or Actiontrax just because they're easy to store. Made in the US and less expensive. Haven't had to use them yet.

I have a set(2) of X-bulls and the Go Treads. I've yet to use either. I'm packing the Go Treads for my trip to Super Celebration East tomorrow. I don't have a good external mount for the x-bulls yet.

I am interested to hear from someone who used the go treads, I am curious to see if they would hold up to a sasquatch tire.

This is what we did. With all the stuff on our truck I could not fit full size boards in anymore. The GoTrax are great as they fold down and will do the job if we ever get stuck. I have a full size floor jack we bring with us as well and a shovel.

Is it strange they didn’t get the front tires stuck ? It would be hard to tell if they turned on the 6WD to get un stuck.

We actually just launched our recovery boards earlier this year for those in the market for something tough on the trail but not so tough on your wallet ;)

We have tons of colors to choose from, and include a carry bag, mounting provisions, AND a lifetime warranty

This is cool, what does the lifetime warranty cover?

Great question!

So this warranty would cover any manufacturing defects and any damage these boards sustain while being used as directed within the specified weight load.

Has anyone used these, or something similar to these? I was at TSC picking up some bolts and just happened to run across them. They seemed pretty stout when I was looking at them.
