I've ordered a 2-door Black Diamond, Advanced 4x4, 10 speed, tow.

2 Door: I like the appearance much more than the 4-door. Also, the shorter wheelbase closely matches that of my Jeep XJ, which I have found to be the sweet spot for the off-roading we do. Space is not an issue, since we always wheel with 2 or more vehicles, and I have a small trail trailer to carry the camping gear. We aIso have a land yacht (Suburban) for the hauling the family around town and on long road trips.

Advanced 4x4: Although I don't need my Bronco to figure out when I do or don't need 4x4, I added it simply for the lower gearing.

10-Speed: The manual was tempting (very) for the fun and crawler gear, but in the end I wanted the convenience of the auto and more importantly the "turn assist".

Tow: I don't want to splice in an aftermarket kit.

Last, I debated adding SAS as well (great value) but ultimately decided I don't need or want 35s (33s will be plenty big for what we do), and I want to build my Bronco to my specifications (suspension) even though it may cost a little more in the long run. Also, I've successfully wheeled anywhere I've wanted for 25+ years without a front locker and automatic sway bar disconnect (Badlands), so why add it now.

I chose a 2dr. base, add in 2.7 and sasquatch and still be around 40k. The most bang for the buck in my opinion. I also like the plain grill. This combination will give me everything I want and nothing else.

Trim: Badlands, sasquatch, and 2.7l.
Reason:
1. To get the best off-road options available.
2. To get the grey carbonized grill and the MIC roof to match the colors of fenders, bumpers, mirrors and its holding arms, and thr piller between the two door Windows.
3. Better interior than Wildtrak for me.

2-Door Wildtrak because:
  1. I think it looks the coolest
    • sorry I'm a shallow person 🤷‍♂️
  2. Has the bigger motor
    • always been speed and power hungry
  3. 10-speed auto good for daily
    • getting lazy in my old age
  4. Factory optimized for 35's
    • too many issues lifting vehicles over the years
The only initial modification planned is to swap out wheels/tire for something more aggressive.

The one missing option I'd most like to see made available?
COOLED SEATS - because I've become way too spoiled...

I started off with a 2 Door Black Diamond and a plethora of options. Constraints were announced and I changed to a 2 Door Badlands with few options. Webasto happened and I changed to a 4 Door Badlands and soft top. The extra cost is worth the features I will be getting, in addition to having passengers with their own doors and no need to climb in. I already have a 2 Door in the 1970.

I saw this was a resurrected post, went back and checked my vote, it was back in my BaseSquatch days. It's still the best value, but I really didn't want the 315 x 35 tires, because of the extra overall width and unchainability. So I went:

2 dr; because it's a Bronco and it's usually just my wife and I now.

Big Bend: Availability of rear locker and 4.27 gears, I really like the wheels and grille. It has a few niceties (tint, fogs) and color availability.

2.3 Auto: The 7 spd was tempting, but don't know how long my knee will hold out.

A51 and Sandstone interior: Since I'm paying for BB I might as well get "upgraded" colors.

Roof Rails/bars: to haul my kayak or small basket.

I mighta shoulda got tow, but I have a VIN so I guess I'll go aftermarket.

Two door Badlands high package. Because the Black Diamond isn’t available with the high package, and the OBX ,interior, wheels, and body colored wheel flares are extremely lame. Ford could satisfy more customers if they reacted to the option shortages by allowing models to have packages they currently don’t offer. BD with high and or the OBX with additional wheel and interior options, and I would be smiling.

I went 4Dr OBX with the 2.7. I am not an offroader. May do some sand driving in the OBX but otherwise my Bronco will be a street rider. So OBX fit. Originally was a BB reserve but once I added what I wanted to the BB I had built pretty much built an OBX, so it was pretty simple and not expensive to just move up a trim level. Went with 4 doors because my wife and I will use the Bronco when we travel and have pups so we need the room in back. Went with soft top because I will put the top down whenever the opportunity arises regardless of the time of year.
