Yep…absolutely no need for all of this freak out over tie rod ends.
Anything can be abused to the point of failure.
This freak out has created a whole new industry/market with plenty of paranoid consumers.
There will be many “upgraded” tie rod ends sold that will never see off-road situations.
In the end, it’s your rig and your money. Hammer-on!
Just know that all metal will fatigue and then break at the most inopportune time.
I agree it's an exaggerated weakness. I'm satisfied with carrying a Ranger spare just in case and going on with life.

Since your rig is not a rock crawler, I don’t think you have anything to worry about. ;)

Sorry TD, haven't read all pages yet - did you determine which other tie rods would fit the Bronco?

Ranger was the only drop in replacement, the next closest option would have taken irreversible modification.

More than likely it will work because I don't recall a major change from 04 to 05, but I only tested the 98-04 one so I can only vouch for it.
So I got these Moog EV317s off of Amazon. Can you confirm if these will work as a good on the trail backup? Thanks for your help and sharing your knowledge.

I sent mine back. (one set used and one set still in the box) The Toe alignment was waaaayyyy off when the Suspension Cycled. Almost 5" movement.
How much does it change with stock tierods?

Next to nothing.

The RPG can be adjusted the way it should be when the suspension is at rest. All the way compressed to all the way extended, almost 5" difference. Seems to be not made for the Bronco.

That seems awfully strange. unless they put the lower heim joint right on top of the knuckle? What does the angle look like at rest?
