I was doing a spot check today on my bronco (only had it a few days) and i noticed all these wires. When i looked under the vehicle there doesn't appear to be anything on the backside of the bumper to protect the wiring to the taillights or the front fog lights.

This can't be normal...these items wouldn't survive mudding or a winter. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there something missing? Bringing it back to the dealer next week for them to look at this.

Well then be pissed…because almost all body on frame vehicles have some exposed wiring and use connectors where the harness runs from the body to frame components and/or sensors. Not something you would normally see on a unibody vehicle where everything is hidden inside the vehicle.

So you are telling me there should be absolutely no piece of plastic behind the rear wheel well that stops or prvents dirt and muck getting thrown up under the tail light? the couple wire are find but there is nothing behind the rear wheel as i can just unplug the lights and rear sensors with my hand.

That’s correct….my Tacoma, Jeep, F150 all have exposed wiring and disconnects hidden behind the bumper and tucked behind various body panels….it’s 100% normal and has been that way forever. It’s a non-issue.

I wouldn't have thought i could just reach behind the rear wheel or front wheel and unplug my sensors, tail light, or fog light. No salt guard or anything. I was asking a simple questions and got nothing but smart ass "sell it".

Thanks. I was wondering if there was a plastic panel missing. Its not like we see the bronco's on the road every day

Didn’t mean to be a dick, here’s mine, there is a molded bit on the fender liner in the rear.
