I believe you can purchase an extended warranty on down the road and it doesn't have to be through Ford. Others will chime in with more details, but I just had me caffeine and feel like answering! ha

I got 96mo/100,000mi for $1440

Your dealer will gouge you hard or sell you third party shit. Def don’t buy from them.

You can always get it as long as your og warranty is good. iirc, they increase in price after 12k miles.

We purchaes a reputable aftermarket warranty on our 17 escape. ASC or something like that. Very good history and tonwprk with. will probably buy one from Granger when I pick it up. I want to say it was like 1,200-1,400 for the warranty thru the dealer we purchased the escape from.

I’m definitely getting road hazard on tires, but haven’t found extended warranty to be worth it. If anything, I’d rather invest that $2,400 in an index fund and pay out of pocket once the basic warranty is up. If you do get extended warranty, I’d make sure it was Ford and not 3rd party like some dealerships try to do. Makes it easier to get service at a different dealership.

I plan on buying a 150k Mile, 6 year Premiumcare. It’s $2,400 with a $100 deductible. I figure $2,400 worth of stuff fails in 6 years and 150,000 miles.
Does that period of time start when the original warranty expires?

always buy the extended warranty. I've used it more times than I can count between my 2012 Mustang that I bought as a CPO vehicle when it was just 6 months old with a few thousand miles ( the rear end blew up, the dual mass flywheel had to be replaced, and it spun a rod bearing requiring a new engine), and my 2016 Mustang that I bought brand new - the engine (2.3 eco boost) blew up at 61k miles.. the extended warranty is well worth it

I don't usually buy an extended warranty, but I will probably do so on my Bronco. I've only had one third-party extended service plan and that experience was less than spectacular. I would never buy one that isn't a Ford ESP product.

How many miles do you drive per year?
