Yeah, you know it just got serious when they cut F-150 production. Ford will do anything they can to maintain that "Best selling truck" title.

Yup. Likely not good.

I recall a previous discussion/post by a Ford employee working on Super Dutys was resulting in trucks parked in lots outside factory waiting for chip install and delivery to arrive. Apparently working late and into morning installing chips to complete assembly.

Also said global chip shortage has a lot to do with gaming console demand(PS5). Let that sink in.

Thankfully they think this is only a 1-week impact for the F-150 at the moment. The shortage must come and go rather quickly.

Well, if you read the linked article, the F150 production will only slow for 1 week then resume to normal levels on February 15 so this is causing in impact now, like this week, and since they are going back to normal levels after 2/15, I read this as they expect to have normal levels of these chips on hand after 2/15. So, maybe not a long term thing affecting Bronco.

One of the many stories I've seen about this today:
Ford forced to cut profitable F-150 pickup truck production due to semiconductor chip shortage

What are the odds this shortage ends up impacting the Bronco as well?
Probably likely. Unless there is an economic crisis that curtails demand, the global chip shortage is expected to persist for another year at least. Hopefully Ford ordered lots of parts for Bronco last July, and any supply limitations are already built into their allocation estimates.

It seems they had a lot of trucks waiting for some parts and repairs. I wonder if they've worked through all of those yet? If not, that could be why a week cutback will be OK.
