Damn, the pictures yesterday made me consider staying with my FE, but the interior ones today with all that carpet have me confident dropping down to a loaded BD is the right decision.
The carpet I'm seeing is on the back of the folded down seats....and unfortunately that's on all trims.

Any chance you can ask for a shot of the top of the dash where the elusive picatinny rail is supposed to be. Can't find anywhere that can confirm or deny its existence. Figure an FE would definitely have it, if it's real. Would like to see on the other trims too.
Exactly the question I was going to ask.

Can anyone explain the situation on the side mirrors? I see the FE has a turn signal light on them but the BD doesn't. Just curious what package/trims these can be found on.

I never understood that. Considering you're paying a premium for a limited edition vehicle, you'd think they'd offer it as an alternative. You should be able to pick vinyl/rubber flooring as an option in lieu of carpet/leather.

Yeah, I'm aware of that so that it protects the doors in the four door when they're already in their protective bags

I was talking about the carpet under the folded seats and the floor that I think I am seeing. I thought the FE would have the washout flooring/active drains with carpeted covers, but the spots I'm looking at wouldn't be from covers/mats.

They start on the high package! Any trim gets high with I believe is OBX and up?

I am starting to be concerned that Ford is not going to be able to get the soft top tight on the side windows. It looks like it is due to the lift up feature on the tailgate. On the Jeep you slide the top of the panels into the round rod holders and then the bottom is streached to fit tight with the plastic channels. On the Bronco, because it lifts up in the back and is not fixed, you slide the panel into the bottom and then snap the top into 3 clips. Its tight at those 3 clips, but in between is sagging a little. I wonder if this is the problem they are trying to solve. In all the soft tops we have seen it has been the same through out.

It's really a poor decision. I'd rather be treated like an adult. If I have leather and a washout floor and I start hosing down the interior and fry my power seats, that's on me.
On the upside, my wife's 4Runner has carpet throughout, but came with splash mats front to back, and I don't notice the carpet much.

We used to have an FJ with vinyl throughout, but no drain plugs that I recall, so having the MGV flooring will be a nice feature.

Pretty for certain could be wrong. Think only the BD and BL get the drains. I would have to agree you'd would if thought FE too! Since the FE is a cherry of the best parts. I would think that def be a good something to have!

Oof...Seeing a Squatched Bronco next to a standard one has me waffling between a stock Black Diamond or Squatched Big Bend now.

Does anyone know if we will get a handy storage area were the subwoofer/amp are located in a non-upgraded stereo unit?

I think you captured the issue perfectly. If they included a tab at each clip to pull the side windows tight, then Velcro the excess in place, problem solved. I gotta believe aftermarket is going to solve this if Ford doesn't.
