Very nice, thanks for the link. Those puppies aren't cheap. I might have to just crawl over the back seat...

Checkout PAKMULE. They aren’t cheap but for quality the money is worth it. I just emailed them to see what model would work best with the spare tire.

Right now i am looking at rakattach which offers driver side as well as passenger side swing. Swing hitch left and it wont interfere with tailgate and tire swinging right.

They have 3 sizes, and more appropriately to the Bronco, a waiting list

If I am going to get a swing away hitch, it would be nice to get one that goes greater than 90 degrees. That way I could swing the bike rack/basket way out of the way and not worry about the tailgate and tire hitting it.

Their IG has a picture from a customer using the swayback on a bronco with 35" tires. As far as hitch carriers go, they're probably unequaled in quality and (unfortunately) price.

Did you have to use an extension for the swing-away adapter to clear the spare?
Yeah I bought a 12" extension. I ended up drilling some holes closer together though to choke up on it. That way it doesn't hang out so far.

Sure it's not a huge deal, but it says not to mount with hitch extension. Did you happen to research any others? how did you decide on saris? vs yakima etc

Pretty sure that it's just legal jargon for covering their hind ends. Whichever solution you go with you still have to make sure it clears the spare or consider doing a spare delete.

I was hoping maybe one might extend out "just enough"

The Yakima Exo looks interesting with all the "flexibility" but not sure i want to be locked into a sytem, where instead i could just use anything with 2in mount

that and yakima or kuat is :money:

cutting it super close with squatch and tow package measurements...but seems possible
anyone else measurements line up? My measurements show about 3/16" clearance

Just received the Kuat pivot and it clears the spare. Had ordered an extension with expectation of needing it but not the case.

Edit: with factory tow package, receiver/trailer lights area is tight. The locking pin that comes with the kuat will not work because you have to insert from the right, lock on left. But once locked, you can’t get enough clearance to get the key into the lock (found out hard way and had to remove light bracket to get it off). So I just used a normal hitch pin but I’m sure you can find another locking pin that will fit.
