I added the Ford receiver hitch to my FE last night then installed my 1up bike rack today.

I think it’s the Super Duty model if I remember correctly. (Both the rack and the hitch were here last summer before the Bronco ever arrived.)

Sasquatch with 1up required the hitch extension but otherwise fit is perfect. I chose the anodized black finish so it would blend with the black bumper better.

I think it turned out great!

Looks nice. Can you open the tailgate with the rack on and no bikes?
I can on my Non-SAS BL. You need to put the rack in the “lowered” position.

No droop, rattle (and hitch security, more work for a thief to unbolt) is addressed with this:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JDD8L3H/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

Well, I just checked and the above won't work with the Bronco. I use it on my Jeep with great results but on the Bronco the hitch is so tight up to the bumper there's no room for it to fit in there.

I've only used the 1-Up a few times with the Bronco and rattling wasn't really an issue. But this thread got me out there to actually check the Bronco and now I'll have to go back to the drawing board for an anti-rattle solution.

But the rack and extension work great.

Yes, the 1up has several positions. Up/folded, Flat/ready to carry, & Down/tilted. Tilted down allows the back door to open even clearing Sasquatch spare.

Looks great!. I'm thinking of the same setup but had a few questions:
1. Does the tailgate open all the way when you don't have a bike mounted and you have the rack tilted down?
2. Is there enough room to install the 1UP hitch extension lock or does the light connectors box get in the way?
3. The 1Up hitch extension looks like it may be a little short. Does your bike rub on the spare tire or does the rack rub on it when it in the up position?

Again your setup looks awesome and I look forward to hearing back. Thanks!

1) yes the tailgate can be opened all the way with no bike attached and the rack in the lowest or “downward tilt” position.

2) yes, there is room. I have the hitch extension lock and the rack lock in place.

3) I have the extension and hitch inserted pretty far, they could be brought further out for additional clearance. The bike does not touch the spare if I don’t want it to in my current setup. However sometimes i’ll spin the crank and clock the inboard pedal so that it can rest against the sidewall of the spare just to help steady the bike in case of a hard stop.

The rack folded up -just- touches the spare when no bike and folded up. I’m ok with this but if I weren’t again there is room to extend the rack and extension further away from the Bronco if I wanted to do so.

hope this helps!

Super helpful. Thanks!
I noticed you dont have your hitch light connection block installed. If that was installed would you have room to insert the hitch pin? Thanks again...

Question. Does the 1up brand extender do anything different from something like this?

Not that I know of. Although the 1Up does include a locking hitch pin. I chose the 1up extension out of convenience. I was already on their website ordering the rack so I just added the hitch extension from them as well while i was there.

1up also has locks available to lock your bike to the rack as well. I'm sure that you could order them with matching locks and 1 key which would be a nice benefit.

Looks great! I was wondering how much extension it would take to clear the spare tire.
PS... Nice bike! I like to take my 29" Giant with me too.
