Used a little wd40 to clean up the flares today. I know it won't last too long but looks pretty damn good for the time being. Also did the bumpers and rock rails but no pics of that.

Looks great. I used the C4 ceramic coating and it keeps them looking great and keeps water and dirty beading off them. Highly recommend C4 I think you can get it on Amazon. Awesome on all plastic.

Any harm in using WD40 on plastic? Would tire shine accomplish the same thing, or is that not recommended on plastic? Thank you.

My first thought when I saw this as well was the risk of the WD40 hurting the plastic over time. I've used 303 aerospace in the past and have been a big fan of it, I would definitely try that on yours. Just note that I don't have my Bronco yet so I haven't been able to try it out on the flares myself, but it's highly recommended in the detailing community.

WD 40 isn't oil based. I use it for a lot of things. boots & leather, clean shower doors etc.

It absorbs into the plastic. Makes the plastic more pliable too. I Use this to saturate rc cars plastic components so they dont crack.

I used c4 ceramic coating, doesnt last long at all for me. Very expensive to only last a couple weeks depending on precipitation.

Anybody have ideas on how to remove sunscreen off the flares and other plastic? I’m nervous to do the wrong thing.

This is going to sound weird but I read a while back that a white eraser works well on taking stuff off black plastic, and I tried it once to remove excess polish from some black plastic and it actually worked. If you have one laying around you should try it out but I would try it on a hidden piece of the fender first.

Chemical guys have a cleaner that decreases and cleans plastic.
