Anyone DIY the fender flair delete?
I'm thinking a very simple diy hack would be to remove the flair and "undercoat" paint the thin strip that the flair snaps into.
My hope would be that it would allow for the flair to be reinserted when needed, and when the flair is removed, the flair delete is a sweet black lining.
Same undercoat hack as the pinch weld seam.

Can't justify $400 for the plastic fender delete and some of the kits make you drill new holes into the fender, which seems REALLY stupid to not use the existing holes

I think the 4wp set is metal and uses the same holes for 250. Rough country I think is 200 and uses mostly the same holes.

I love the delete look but drive in do many dirt and rocky roads. I wouldn't have much paint on bottom of my doors after a few months, lol.

I have them...was over it after a couple days. A few paint chips and the fear of breaking others windows was too much for me. Looked cool. But was a waist of money for me.
