They came out great, the painted flares are growing on me - if you don't mind me asking, how much poke did you have with the 8.5 wide wheels, 0 offset and 12.5 tires? it did not look like much and i am hoping to keep the standard flares with 8 inch wide wheels, 0 offset but 11.5 wide tires - so slightly narrower than your original set up
Thanks
You can definitely run the standard flares, but you will be poking a lot. keep in mind he has a First Edition with Sas package and wider flares. I put 8.5 +18 wheels with 315/70r17s on mine and it poked severely (for my taste). I swapped to sas flares and it still pokes, but only a few mm, maybe ~10-15ish. I'm not sure which trim you are getting, but assuming it isnt a sas and has +55 mm offset wheels, dropping to 0 is going to make them poke by about 2 inches over stock, and the wider tire will probably poke and additional inch, or more, past that.

A website I like to use is willtheyfit.com. It will tell you exactly how much poke you will have vs the stock setup.

Pic is with sas flares installed.

I'm really liking the painted fender flares. I'd like to know how they hold up when the tires start throwing rocks up.

Thanks for the before and after pics. Really helps to see the difference. My dealer is going to price painting my fender fairs too so I appreciate some idea of what it might cost.

I was a thinking of color match linex on the fender flares and MIC top, figure that would hold up pretty good. It does look nice.
Me too. I just bought the U-Pol Raptor kit and adhesion promoter from Amazon.

Hm. I think I prefer the contrast. Looks like it was done well and at a great price point tho!

Looks awesome!! But how are you going to protect them now? I have the SAS flares and do a fair amount of high speed forestry road runs and mine are marred up and gouged like crazy haha
you are correct. The rear fenders can take a beating. I might have the rears
PPF wrapped, but at the end of the day I assume the risk. 👍🏻

This looks amazing! Does the MIC wheel well feel smooth after painting? Yours does. I was worried that plastic might not hold the paint well. I considered some aftermarket metal ones to paint. Great wheels too.
Yes sir they are smooth. Multiple levels of base coat and 20 layers of clear was utilized.

The pictures above are with 17-8.5 (0 offset) wheels on 35/12.50s. Minimal poke with SAS flares.

I went with the free option... I agree that while minimizing poke, the painted fenders do look good on some Bronco colors. I went with tires that fit mostly inside the fenders of the OBX. Granted, these are only 33.5" tall, but they generally don't chuck debris against the body.
