This is correct. The "A" in ABC covers common combustible materials, such as wood, paper, or most plastics.B Miller can verify, but I would think type A would cover most of your interior, as well as brush or anything else that catches fire outside the vehicle...
We carry a 20 pound ABC dry chemical in the fire engine. On a car fire, we start with water and foam. If it's a stubborn fire we use the dry chemical.
We don't start with the dry chemical because after it's used, we have to send it out to be re charged. Most of the time water and foam does the trick.
